Book Fair Alert!

The Book Fair will be heading our way right after Turkey Day!!!

Books are due to arrive Thursday, Decmeber 2nd and be set up for veiwing after lunch on Friday, December 3rd!

Come ready to shop till you drop starting Monday, December 6th - Wednesday, December 15th @ noon!

There will be tons to select from for your super reader!!

The 3rd grade girlies met me for Taylor Swift LIVE @ Scholastics!

It was great!

I am not sure who was more excited about getting to see her.

It was neat to hear her talk about favorite books (To Kill A Mockingbird), books that she loved as a child (Dr. Seuss).

A few other classes enjoyed the presentation in their classrooms. You can still catch this at Scholastics until January 28th - it's been taped and saved for our viewing pleasure until then.

Of course she finished out our time together with a song!!

Of all the books I have read this school year this would probaly be one of my favorites!

Also my pick so far for the VA Readers' Choice! Of course a it's a close tie with The Hunger Games.

Amazing book! I just finished this week before last!

I can't say enough good things about this book except - Lauren Oliver is coming to see us at SA on December 1st! I just can't wait to meet her!

She will be speaking to 9th-12th grade.

This year we will be featuring our favorite senior Raiders "getting caught" reading during their favorite activities!!

Stop by and see what they are up to.

Their pictures will be framed and featured on the ends of the bookcases where the bulletin boards just to be. A large class picture will also be appearing on the back wall of the Library in one of our new "NOOKS"!
